The Birthday Party

‘The day well spent!’, is what I thought when I finally finished my trekking. It was a sudden plan that me and my friend planned a day before. We were new in the city and of course, wanted to explore it. We came to this city, 3 months ago, as we joined this institute for our higher studies. “Hey, hurry up otherwise we’ll be late for the dinner party”, my friend said hurriedly. We were invited to the dinner party for our friend’s birthday. “Yes, don’t worry, we’ll reach on time”, I said as I was feeling tired after this long trek. But I was excited too about the party. So, I hurried up, obeying my friend.
We reached our place, got ready and left for our friend’s house. The place where our friend stayed was new to us, so there was another excitement within me to explore this new place. I love travelling, visiting different places, exploring them. We get to know, learn about various cultures, people, their habitat, etc. We reached the place. Unlike us, our friend was from this city and was staying with his family. So, upon arriving, I really felt at ‘Home’! I have never been with so many of my classmates outside the institute. This being the first time gave a different feel. All were in a party mood and so was I. Everyone was enjoying it. We all were having a nice time.
We had our dinner and finally stood up to leave. I was in no mood to leave. I didn’t wanted this day to end. Right from the morning, I enjoyed every minute of it and still, I was. I was staying with one of my classmates. We both belonged to the same city and hence developed a nice bond with each other. This was the only reason why we decided to be each other’s roommate as well. Our place was around 1 hour away from here. So, I still had approximately more than an hour to get chill and relax. We were on our way to home. The closer we were approaching our place, the more tired I was getting.
