Once upon a time,
A girl told me,
She hates her birthday,
As bottom as a sea.
There’s a thing that happened,
Which wasn’t good enough,
She couldn’t take it at all,
And had a day rough.
There’s this person,
She loved the most,
And then he crushed her,
Heart almost.
It was supposed to be,
Her happy valentine,
Instead she realised,
“He won’t ever be mine.”
“So for me, it’s not a day,
Of celebration,
This day has lost,
All of its reputation.”
“I had my breakup,
And hence it’s breakup day,
You have no idea to recover,
How much I had to pay.”
“So on this day,
I prefer to stay ordinary,
With that same usual routine,
And nothing extraordinary!”
Listening to her,
I gave it a thought,
We must celebrate,
What this day has brought.
Let’s not give importance,
To what we have lost,
We did gain something,
That too at free of cost.
So let’s celebrate,
And make this day memorable,
Forget what happened back,
And make this day considerable.
Why to bother about,
Valentines or Birthday,
When “The Plan” brings you an opportunity,
To celebrate this, “Breakup Day”!
